This week I wanted to know how I can be inspired from other creators. It was a challenge I set for myself to help me get out of a funk.
I needed to find something to help inspire me. I came across a community of stampers and scrapbookers at Splitcoaststampers. They get together on this forum, cheer each other on, share different techniques and join challenges to help inspire others. Just what I needed to get me motivated.

My sister and I challenged ourselves to create several cards. One of the challenges were to create a card with our newest die cut and incorporating dots on the card. I bought this new die cut called Hero Arts Fancy Die from Joann’s.

The challenge was based on the layout. Small square, embellishment to the bottom left, and the sentiment on the bottom right.
This card is an A2 card base Neenah classic white and a basic white cardstock for the panel. I took the white cardstock and embossed it using the Parklane embossing folder. The green panel is used with homemade paper that I sprayed distressed ink.
Just Create!
The stamp I used was from Fiskars Tropical Getaway set, and the sentiment was from Close to my Heart “You’re not Old”. I added two wood embellishments after I sprayed them with distressed inks.

This challenge was to incorporate sewing on the card. This was a first for me. I used an old die cut that was perfect for sewing into the card.
The next one was a tie dye challenge with Splitcoaststampers. Goes to show you, you can use anything to create art. I really enjoyed playing with this technique.

This card was fun to make. I used a couple of old stamps and a bunch of ink to create this card.
The two sets I used were:
Stampin’ up called “Hey Chick”
“Old Letter Writing”
Playing with different designs this week was a lot of fun.
Lets see what I can create by next week. The goal is to keep pushing myself.
Have a great day.
