I have had my share of bad mornings. Waking up rushing to get to work because I woke up late, due to the snooze button not working for me. Very frustrating. To think every time the alarm went off I chose to hit the snooze button only to here it a few minutes later and repeat that miserable feeling of knowing I have to get out of bed. Next thing you know there is no time for me but instead just enough time to get dressed and go to work. No fun at all.
These days I do not even need an alarm. I just wake up at 5am and can’t go back to sleep. So why not take advantage of taking care of myself. I immediately make my bed and take time for myself. I wish I could say that exercise was on the top of my list but not true. But now I am incorporating exercise to my morning ritual.
Self care is how you take your power back
So my goal for the next thirty days is to live by these 10 ideas to help me create new habits. What do you think? Do they sound doable? Several of these I already incorporated into my morning routine and now I added a few more to challenge myself. I realized that by getting up early and taking care of myself I have better days versus how I feel when I hit the snooze button. The main thing is to keep trying to improve your daily habits. Keep moving forward.
What are your morning routines? Would love to hear how you start your day? Do you practice self care?
